Scrigno SpA signs its Corporate Covid-19 Anti-Contamination Security Protocol with the workers’ trade union representatives, to ensure the safety of workers when they resume work
Scrigno today signed its Corporate Covid-19 Anti-Contamination Security Protocol with the workers’ trade union representatives. An analytical agreement, even more stringent than the provisions of the shared Government-Social Partners Protocol of 14 March 2020 for the management of Phase 2, in order to ensure the resumption of production activities with the highest safety of workers.
The document signed by the parties envisages numerous measures, many of which were already in force before the nationwide lockdown enforced by the Government and other new measures resulting from discussions with the workers’ representatives.
The Protocol sets out strict checks at the entrances to Scrigno production plants and offices throughout Italy, including the disinfection of shoes, the measurement of body temperature and the mandatory wearing of a surgical mask, as well as specific access flows, both for employees and for outsiders. The activities of the production departments will be reorganised to guarantee social distancing and the work areas, the toilets and the changing rooms will be equipped with sanitising material freely available to the employees (disinfectant gels and surface cleaning kits). Cyclic cleaning, disinfection and sanitation activities are planned in all plants and offices. The organisation of work activities will be reshaped according to healthcare and production needs: working from home will continue to be in place, offices workstations will be overhauled, protective barriers will be installed at company reception and factory shifts will be split so that contact opportunities between people are halved. Other measures provided for in the protocol include: how to wash hands, what to do in the food courts, how to use the lifts properly, how to manage meetings and how to use car sharing to get to work. A Covid-19 Emergency Response Team will be ready to respond to any suspected cases of infection. The Protocol will be sent to each worker via the Telegram web App and via e-mail, posted on company bulletin boards and posted on the Scrigno website.
“The health and safety of workers is the top priority for Scrigno” – stated the Managing Director Maddalena Marchesini – “We built the Protocol on the basis of the measures already in place during the early stages of the Covid-19 emergency and worked with the workers’ trade unions, whom I would like to thank for their cooperation, with the aim of strengthening them through the use of additional prevention tools and a strong commitment to training people on their application.” – And she adds: “To confirm our priority commitment to the health of workers, on 17 March we took out a special Covid-19 insurance policy for all employees of the Scrigno Group in Italy. The policy provides a daily hospitalisation allowance of €100 (up to 10 days for each hospitalisation day after the 7th day), a convalescent allowance of €3,000 in the event of hospitalisation in intensive care wards and a package of post-hospitalisation care measures. We are ready to resume work safely as soon as the Government gives us the green light.”
